Introduction

Paediatrics is a relatively new medical specialty, developing only in the mid-19th century. The father of pediatrics,Abraham Jacobi (1830-1919) was born in Germany, where he received his medical training, but later practiced in New York City.In the Western world, the first generally accepted pediatric hospital opened in Paris June 1802 is the Hôpital des Enfants Malades (French: Hospital for Sick Children) .


Paediatrics is a branch of medicine which involve in the study and treatment for infants , children , younf adults and families. Pediatricians work with people from infants until adulthood, age range between 0-18 year old. A pediatrician's role not only limted in pratical medicine, but also advocacy for children and families .
